2009 Special Olympics Winter Games, presented by the Wertz Warriors

Both Gary and Tony are proud to be Wertz Warriors!

The Wertz Warriors are ready to embark on their 900 mile endurance ride on

February 1st.  They will ride throughout northern Michigan to raise funds and

awareness for the Special Olympics.

Since the first ride in 1982 the warriors have traveled a combined 937,000 miles on their snowmobiles and

have raised more than $6.8 million, completely fund the Special Olympics of Michigan Winter Games.

During the 2009 ride, the Wertz Warriors hope to raise $500,000, and will have nearly 50 snowmobile

riders and 28 crew members on the trails.
